# Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2¼ cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt (more if butter was unsalted)
  • 2 cups (1 package) chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

# Instructions

  1. Cream the butter, sugars, and vanilla. Beat in the eggs.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture.
  4. Cool the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  5. Scoop rounded spoonfuls of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Broil the cookies for for 2-3 minutes, until the tops are golden.
  7. Set the oven to 375° and bake the cookies for 6-8 minutes. Do not overbake.
