Cake Donuts

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- ½ cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 quart oil, for frying

Instructions
- Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Add melted butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in the milk and egg until smooth. Knead lightly.
- Roll to ¼ inch thickness on a floured surface and cut out donuts.
- Fry in hot oil (375 degrees) until golden brown (about 3 minutes, flipping once).
- Coat with cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar glaze or serve with raspberry jam.
